It's been an amazing summer of gardening full of delicious fresh fruits and veggies, some sweet, some spicy, some giant, some comical. Gardening with my young kids in particular has been so rewarding. They love getting dirty and they love to eat stuff they just picked off a vine or pulled out of the ground. If you have good rich soil (something you can create if you don't have it to start off with), the right amount of water (easily done with a drip irrigation system) and as much sunlight as you can get (pick the right spot in your yard, it will have a huge impact on the success of your garden) you will be shocked by what even a beginner gardener can grow.
